I wanted to make a movie-poster for the best movie ever, Léon (aka The Professional in the USA), so here it is
If you like this 'poster'/drawing, PLEASE watch the movie, its fantastic!! Summary of the movie:
Its about Léon (the man in the middle, played by Jean Reno), he's a hitman, and a twelve-year-old-girl Mathilda. Her entire family gets shot down because of a drug-problem, and only Mathilda gets away. Her family got killed by a corrupt agent, Norman Stansfield ('Stan'), played by Gary Oldman (in this drawing on the right). Léon takes care of Mathilda, and he teaches her how to be a hitman, because she wants her revenge on Oldman and his cops.
Its such a brilliant, great, fantastic movie - Ive seen it 14 times already and I still just LOVE it . It even beats Kill Bill!
About this drawing:
I used different photos for Mathilda-, Leon- and Stansfield's faces, but not for the clothing: I exactly knew what they looked like because Ive seen the movie many times. XD Tools:
Grey pencils for sketching,
3 types of fineliners,
My markers - about 30 different colors.
Photoshop:
Contrast, sharpened the faces a little. The lightning spots on their faces are NOT made with photoshop! That was pretty hard to do with just markers - especially for Stans face, but Im happy with the result.
Beautiful! It seems like your art improves every time I look at it

sick_little_wolfboy: so do you talk about raping my friend with others?
God: That's interesting. I am a talking robot, after all, so of course I could talk about raping your friend with others, if I needed to.
Nice one Kelly! Uh, everyone else has left short comments so far, so I've taken up the room they didn't use! Reno seems the most recognizable - good likeness - but I like the way you did Oldman's face better. It has a very human look, the way the shading and highlights seem to indicate folds and wrinkles, even though there are no lines. I haven't seen the movie, but he looks, well, kind of reckless and calculating. Hehe the shading style on Oldman's shirt - same style as Clarence's in True Romance! I want one of those shirts!
This might sound strange because your intent was probably to make us focus on the characters - but I like the drawing a lot better because you included the curves and bent lines in the skyline buildings, and the wild red sky. Its like a more cartoonish style, and the reason it works for me is because it is a contrast with the more realistic style you used on the faces. So I see those two different styles, and the difference makes me pay more attention to both of them. !! There are even shades of yellow for differently lighted windows! How long did THAT take!
To me, the heads seem a bit larger than normal in proportion to the bodies - which is kind of interesting, because I've seen Hollywood posters done that way before. Its really good that you're doing some of this from memory and your own mind's eye. But, but - fourteen times Kelly?? Fourteen? And we're not talking about some gentle, innocent and loving cinema here! Forget spending your money on art supplies girl, perhaps you should consider saving up for the therapy you're going to need!
Dankjewel!
